What flowers are best for a hand or wedding bouquet?

Roses are the classic go-to for romance and versatility. Eustoma (lisianthus) gives a softer, more ruffled look that photographs beautifully. Baby's breath is a favourite for filler and dainty single-bloom bouquets. For seasonal touches, we also love peonies in cooler months and hydrangeas year-round. If you're planning a wedding, our florists can walk you through blooms that suit your colour palette and the season you're marrying in.

How long do fresh flowers in a bouquet last?

With proper care, most hand bouquets last 5 to 7 days. Hardier blooms like chrysanthemums, orchids, and carnations can go longer, while softer flowers like peonies and hydrangeas may open and fade sooner. Trim the stems every couple of days, change the water daily, and keep the bouquet out of direct sunlight and away from fruit to maximise its life.
